The technology behind the trial:
WATCHMAN FLX Pro

Featuring HEMOCOAT™ Technology

Designed to promote faster, more controlled healing2

WATCHMAN FLX Pro device

Established

PVDF-HFP has a long history of safe use on permanently implanted, blood-contacting medical devices3

Stable

Durable, thin coating encapsulates healing surface of device, maintains pore size and mechanical performance of WATCHMAN FLX platform (<1µm)4

Demonstrated

Demonstrated performance in challenging preclinical model2

SIMPLAAFY Trial Design

The SIMPLAAFY clinical trial evaluated two less aggressive monotherapies as alternative drug regimens compared to dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) following LAA closure with the WATCHMAN FLX Pro LAAC Device in patients with non-valvular AF.
